Question: What is the cause of my daughter M.'s bedwetting?

It is the time now to give you some of the details regarding your daughter’s last lifetime. In that life, she was an army officer for Germany during the 2nd World War. She was distraught many times over about the maltreatment of what were considered rejectable peoples: Jews, gypsies, the mentally deficient. She was held accountable for many atrocities that were performed during that time under her command, even though she personally did not perform them. She felt at the time extremely guilt-ridden over this and ended her life not long before the end of the war, knowing that her number was up, so to speak.

This has brought to her present lifetime an extraordinary amount of guilt, and she knows not why she feels this. Although we do see that at this time the girl known as M. may be too fragile to learn the details of her most previous lifetime, it would be well to consider sharing this with her into her adulthood and allowing her to release some of this stored guilt.

In addition, the synapses necessary to connect the cerebral cortex with the urinary sphincter muscles are immature. This can and most likely will be corrected with time, but we see that her anxiety and yours over this situation has reached a point wherein time is no longer a luxury. In that case, we see that there are some therapies that may help stir the growth of these nerve endings so that they are “connected”. Acupuncture would most likely be of help here; be careful whom you find as practitioner and be guided as to whom you employ. There is acupuncture and then there is acupuncture. You will know the difference.

Another therapy that may help is feldenkrais work. This is a movement-based healing modality wherein the structure of the body is rearranged. This could be useful also in helping to release some of your daughter’s stored guilt. We would caution you, however, to be on the watch for abrupt changes in her behavior and to fine-tune her therapies accordingly.
